Actress Nargis has taken legal action by filing a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cybercrime Unit against fellow actress Nigar Chaudhry and more than ten YouTubers. She accuses them of harming her reputation through their social media posts.
A spokesperson for the FIA Lahore indicated that the Cybercrime Unit has opened a case based on the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) and relevant sections of the law. The accused include Nigar Chaudhry and Abida Usmani, among others, whom Nargis claims have negatively affected her image online.
Recently, Nargis has also been in the news for alleging that her husband, Inspector Majid Bashir, physically assaulted her in a dispute over finances. Following this incident, she filed another case against him in Lahore’s Defense area.
