ISLAMABAD – The case involving former stage actress and dancer Nargis is developing, and it has taken a twist involving a love triangle. This includes the former spouse of well-known Pakistani televangelist Aftab Iqbal.
Nargis made serious allegations of assault against her husband, Inspector Majid, and also accused him of infidelity. The situation intensified when she released a video displaying her injuries, which led to significant public outcry and prompted action from the authorities.
In a recent interview with a local TV journalist, Nargis shared her experience alongside her brother. She revealed that her husband is involved with Maryam Ali Hussain, a former dancer who co-hosted the show Khabarnak. After marrying Aftab Iqbal and having two sons, Maryam and Aftab eventually parted ways.
Nargis claims that Majid attacked her in an attempt to gain control over her assets, which include a farmhouse, a plaza, and a large piece of land, intending to pass them on to Maryam. When Nargis confronted him, he allegedly became violent, even using his service weapon during an altercation.
Following the actions taken by the Punjab Chief Minister in response to the case, a formal complaint was filed against Majid Bashir. Maryam Nawaz has promised a thorough investigation into the allegations.
