Digital Phablet – Murat Yıldırım and Fahriye Evcen Reunite After Years of Romantic Film Success
Turkish TV enthusiasts are gearing up for another memorable on-screen reunion. Murat Yıldırım and Fahriye Evcen are officially teaming up once more in the upcoming “Go Türkiye” miniseries titled “Turquoise Summer.” The project is already capturing significant attention in Turkish media, primarily because it marks the stars’ first collaboration since their romantic film “Sonsuz Aşk” nearly ten years ago.
Produced by NTC Media for the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), this series seeks to showcase Turkey’s rich tourism, culture, and stunning natural scenery through compelling storytelling, much like previous “Go Türkiye” productions.
Currently filming in Bodrum, one of Turkey’s most renowned holiday destinations, the series is described by Turkish media as a visually stunning summer drama filled with romance, emotional depth, and spectacular coastal vistas. It highlights Bodrum’s turquoise waters, luxurious lifestyle, beaches, and natural beauty.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Semih Bağcı and penned by talented screenwriter Kemal Hamamcıoğlu, the cast includes not only Murat Yıldırım and Fahriye Evcen but also Sedef Avcı, Aslıhan Karalar, and Yılmaz Bayraktar.
Fahriye Evcen takes on the role of “Su,” a woman striving to escape her fate and start anew. Her journey unexpectedly intersects with “Toprak,” played by Murat Yıldırım. Turkish entertainment outlets describe this story as deeply emotional, romantic, and intertwined with themes of destiny and second chances.
Additional cast members feature Sedef Avcı as “Derya,” Aslıhan Karalar as “Nil,” and Yılmaz Bayraktar as “Burak.” The initial set photos have already been shared online, sparking praise from fans for the elegant summer vibe and the palpable chemistry between the leading actors.
A major factor in the excitement is the reunion of Murat Yıldırım and Fahriye Evcen after their 2017 romantic drama “Sonsuz Aşk.” In that film, Murat played Can, a successful neurosurgeon, while Fahriye portrayed Zeynep, a woman battling a life-altering illness. The movie was noted for its touching love story and the compelling chemistry between the actors.
Since then, both stars have continued to build impressive careers. Murat Yıldırım has gained international recognition through popular series such as “Ramo,” “Aziz,” and “Teşkilat,” and is also known in the Middle East for hosting “Kim Milyoner Olmak İster?” Fahriye Evcen remains one of Turkey’s top female stars, renowned for works like “Yaprak Dökümü,” “Çalıkuşu,” and “Alparslan: BüyüK Selçuklu,” with her global popularity and fashion influence steadily rising.
The “Go Türkiye” franchise has previously featured notable Turkish celebrities such as Meryem Uzerli, Kaan Urgancıoğlu, Eda Ece, Burak Özçivit, and Ceyda Ateş. These projects aim to bolster Turkey’s image as a top tourist destination worldwide by leveraging the global appeal of Turkish dramas.
With the stunning Bodrum setting and the reunion of two beloved stars, “Turquoise Summer” is rapidly becoming one of the most eagerly awaited Turkish mini-series of the year.
