Mahira Khan Responds to Firdous Jamal’s Remarks
LAHORE – Renowned Pakistani actress Mahira Khan has finally addressed the criticism directed at her by veteran actor Firdous Jamal.
In October, Jamal made headlines during an interview when he commented on Mahira’s age, suggesting that she is too mature for leading roles in dramas and films. He also criticized fellow actor Humayun Saeed regarding his performances.
When asked about his previous comments that Mahira should transition to motherly roles, especially since she shone in the successful film The Legend of Maula Jatt, Jamal maintained his stance, asserting, “I still believe in what I said. I merely spoke the truth about Mahira Khan’s age. She is an older woman based on her actual age.”
Recently, Mahira attended the World Urdu Conference in Karachi, where host Waseem Badami engaged her in a rapid-fire question segment. One question concerned her thoughts on Firdous Jamal. Mahira chose to remain neutral, stating that she did not feel comfortable commenting on him since they are not acquainted personally.
