ALBAWABA – Dakota Johnson has seemingly moved on from her relationship with Chris Martin.
Following her split from the 48-year-old Coldplay frontman, the 35-year-old "Materialist" actress was spotted in New York City on June 2 and 4, notably without her engagement ring.
During her outing on June 4, Johnson opted for a relaxed look with a bohemian-style shirt, wide-leg tan and cream slacks, and a floppy sun hat. Two days earlier, she was seen in a black leather jacket, again without any signs of her engagement ring.
The on-again, off-again relationship between Johnson and Martin, which spanned nearly eight years, has come to an apparent end. A source remarked, "It feels final this time," regarding their breakup.
Johnson and Martin began dating in 2017 after the singer’s split from his ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, whom he officially divorced in 2015. Although they reportedly got engaged years back, a source told PEOPLE in March 2024 that they were "in no rush to get married."
The actress had previously expressed her admiration for Martin, saying during an interview with Bustle in March that watching him perform brought her immense joy. "I could watch him every day," she shared.
In August 2024, rumors of a breakup surfaced, but Johnson’s representative dismissed them, asserting that the couple was "happily together." However, by June 2024, reports indicated that while they had faced challenges, they were working things out.
The last time they were photographed together was on May 16 in Malibu. Prior to that, they were seen together in January while Martin toured India with his band, holding hands during the trip.
