Los Angeles: The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards celebrated a remarkable triumph for Netflix’s captivating stalker drama ‘Baby Reindeer’, which took home four Emmy awards on Sunday evening.

This series, a compelling transformation of Richard Gadd’s theatrical work and personal narrative, triumphed in several prominent categories.

‘Baby Reindeer’ was awarded the highly-coveted title of Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, marking a significant milestone for the production.

Richard Gadd, who not only stars in but also serves as the creator of the series, garnered Emmys for both Best Actor and Best Writer.

His performance as an aspiring comedian grappling with a relentless stalker has been lauded for its emotional depth and intensity.

Jessica Gunning also shone at the awards, winning Outstanding Supporting Actress for her contribution to the series.

This occasion was particularly meaningful for Gunning, as it celebrated her first Emmy victory. The show’s accolades continued with additional wins for Casting and Editing during the Creative Arts Emmys held the previous week.

Furthermore, ‘Baby Reindeer’ received nominations in several other categories, including Supporting Actress for Nava Mau and Supporting Actor for Tom Goodman-Hill, both of whom, along with Gunning, celebrated their inaugural Emmy nominations this year.

Weronika Tofilska was acknowledged for her direction, although she did not win in that category.

Originally debuting in the UK, the series rapidly ascended Netflix’s charts to secure the top spot there and ranked No. 2 in the US before ultimately becoming the 10th most-watched Netflix show of all time, as reported by Variety.

The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards were streamed live in India exclusively on Lionsgate Play.
