Google is now displaying a new label called “You asked to see” on the Discover feed. This label appears on items that have been customized based on the “Tailor Your Feed” feature.
The update was first noticed by Damien (andell), who shared that alongside the new user interface adjustments to “Tailor Your Feed,” Google Discover now features this label for articles suggested through the “historicalnaturallanguagetuningcontent” pipeline, which are based on prompts typed in the “Tailor Your Feed” chat.
For example, when a user requests more content related to Pokémon, the first few cards in the feed will display the “You asked to see” label, indicating these items were specifically tailored to that user request. In a video format, this is demonstrated with the label appearing on the initial four cards after the request.
If you encounter this label, it signifies that the content was personalized according to the user’s interaction with the customization feature. Discussions about this change have taken place on platforms like X (formerly Twitter).
