On June 19, Li Jian, CEO of Honor Technology Co., shared new strategic insights on accelerating the implementation of AI technology during a press conference. He emphasized that creating a seamless user experience is paramount for integrating AI into everyday life and elaborated on Honor’s “Clover” strategy.
Li explained that Honor’s AI strategy aims to construct a closed-loop user experience by focusing on three dimensions: scenario-based applications, performance, and user trust. Specifically, he outlined the importance of breaking down barriers between data, services, and devices to ensure a comprehensive user experience that grants individuals greater operational freedom. By leveraging cooperation between edge and cloud computing, hardware and software, as well as network collaboration, the company seeks to optimize AI performance for smoother, more efficient services, ultimately enhancing user satisfaction.
He also highlighted the significance of fostering trust through collaborative technology innovation, standard-setting, and industry governance, thereby establishing a solid foundation of trust that users can rely on when utilizing AI.
In an effort to bring this strategy to fruition, Li stressed the need to dismantle brand boundaries, announcing that Honor aims to create a fully integrated personal knowledge base and foster intelligent collaboration across multiple brands. He noted that Honor devices will be capable of interconnectivity with products from other brands like Huawei and Apple, aiming to provide users with a true “Internet of Everything” experience.
To tackle industry collaboration challenges, Li officially proposed the establishment of an open AI terminal ecological alliance, built on the GSMA platform. This initiative seeks to unite AI model companies, telecom operators, device manufacturers, and internet firms, fostering deep collaboration between technology and business to collectively address the challenges of equitable AI development.
As part of this strategic initiative, Li announced that the new generation AI folding flagship, the Honor Magic V5, will be officially launched on July 2. The new model will showcase cutting-edge capabilities, including a comprehensive personal knowledge base, productivity enhancements through multi-agent collaboration, and cross-brand connectivity. With its sleek design, the Honor Magic V5 aspires to become the lightest foldable smartphone on the global market.
