Completing the Trade for Gold Nopopotamus Card in Xenoblade X

The Trade Agreement mission stands out as a perfect example of this community spirit. It takes you across NLA to hunt for rare trading cards that everyone, from humans to alien races, is eager to collect. So, let’s dive into some exciting trading card adventures!

How to Begin the Trade Agreement Mission

Before you can embark on the Trade Agreement mission, you must complete several preceding quests since virtually every alien race in the game plays a role in this mission. After finishing Chapter Seven, make sure you’ve completed the following quests:

• BFFs – This mission introduces the Nopon to NLA.
• Dead Men Tell No Tales – Here, you help bring the Zaruboggans to NLA.
• Circle of Life – This quest allows the Orpheans to reproduce, adding more of them to the city.
• Prone Sweet Prone – This mission brings the Tree Clan of the Prone into the city.

Once you’ve completed those, you’re set to start the Trade Agreement mission. Head over to East Melville Street in the Commercial District to speak with Warawa. She’s desperately seeking the Gold Nopopotamus Card but has only managed to accumulate a pile of Bronze Blatta Cards.

Warawa will hand you one of her Bronze Blatta Cards and ask you to do your best to trade it up for a Gold Nopopotamus. After all, the Ganglion are no match for the excitement of trading card games. Let’s get started!

The Trade Agreement mission features a straightforward conclusion, yet it encompasses numerous paths to reach it. You’ll never hit a dead end; every card trade always leads to another, eventually guiding you to the prized Gold Nopopotamus card.

Optimal Route to Obtain the Gold Nopopotamus Card

Your goal should be to minimize trading time. Although you can’t get stuck in this mission, longer trade routes can be tedious. Here’s the quickest way to convert a Bronze Blatta Card into a Gold Nopopotamus in just five trades:

1. Trade the Bronze Blatta Card for Laviana’s Bronze Cinicula Card.
2. Trade the Bronze Cinicula Card along with Five Coaletris and Two Meteo Eaters for Pirapira’s Silver Mortifole Card.
3. Exchange the Silver Mortifole Card for Capsica’s Ma-non Hunting Kit.
4. Trade the Ma-non Hunting Kit for Wilbur’s Silver Xiphias Card.
5. Finally, trade the Silver Xiphias Card for Ton’barac’s Gold Nopopotamus Card.

While there are numerous ways to get the Gold Nopopotamus Card, following this route results in the least amount of trading. Considering the expansive nature of NLA and the lack of clear indications from NPCs about trading, it’s wise to reduce your travel time as much as possible.

Once you have the coveted Gold Nopopotamus Card, return to Warawa. She’ll regale you with her whimsical dreams about the card, which are quite elaborate. After her storytelling, she’ll reward you with 20,000 Credits, 240 EXP, and several holofigures, including Clash of the Cute, Thwipper Series, Upgraded Diving Bottoms, and Upgraded Diving Mask.
