Brian Acton is the Founder of Signal App

Brain Acton is a US-based internet entrepreneur and a computer programmer. He co-founded WhatsApp with Jan Koum and previously worked with Jan Koum at Yahoo as well.

Brian is currently the executive chairman of the Signal Foundation. The company was founded in 2018 by Brian Acton and Moxie Marlinspike to develop an open-source privacy app to protect the data.

WhatsApp had been acquired back in February 2014 by Facebook Inc for US$19 billion. And however, Facebook’s steps to change privacy linked things with WhatsApp has nothing to do with Brian as he left WhatsApp back in 2014.

The company was started after Brian invested $50 million, which was given as a loan to run the business. The load has now been increased to $105,000,400, payable by February 28, 2068.

Brian is currently the 836th richest person in the world having net worth of $2.5 billion.

Is it secure to shift to Signal?

Simple answer is YES!

The app has promising features to keep your data secure and untrackable. The app clearly respects the idea of social media privacy, and Elon Musk also recommends this app. Also, brian does not have anything to do with WhatsApp’s decision-making as he is majorly focusing on Signal. According to the reports, Elon Musk is also looking forward to donating a great amount of money to make the app more powerful and privacy-centric.

Signal and Telegram are the two apps that beat WhatsApp on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store rankings. Signal is trending on the number 1st position in some countries, while Telegram is on 2nd position, followed by WhatsApp, which is currently on 3rd.
