Fake Windows 11 download setups allowing hackers to take control of your device

On 15th June, 2021, a copy of the latest Windows 11 OS was leaked and tech lovers rushed to try it out. But some websites give out Windows 11 download setups for free, which are truly fake.

Google takes action

With Microsoft filing a DMCA complaint with Google to take down the original source of the leak, the authenticity of the news and the leak both are pretty much confirmed.

So what’s there to stop you from getting your copy of Windows 11?

Nothing except the fact that it is not an official release by Microsoft and installing unverified software can put your system at risk.

What’s new in the Windows 11 OS?

Tech enthusiasts had their curiosity satiated by indulging in the leaked OS.

Screenshots and articles that popped up on the web show changes and tweaks in the OS such as a centered Start Menu and taskbar icons, new widgets, rounded corners, new Windows sounds (released in an 11-minute-long video by Microsoft), a new snap feature, and a new search interface. But this is not an official release by Microsoft (which happens later this month).

It is still to be seen what other hidden features and upgrades Microsoft will pull out of the hat.

Should you be taking a peek?

Most definitely not. Microsoft has a conference planned for 24th June this year, and the tech world awaits a more formal and detailed introduction to Windows 11 OS.

Microsoft might even give us a quick look under the hood with a beta version.

With no set time frame for the OS release, it is highly recommended to wait for an official announcement instead of getting your hands on a pirated copy circulating the web.

Setup Windows 11 download is not available, it can allow hackers to hack your computer!

Although a trustworthy source for downloading is hard to find, if you still want to risk it, do so on a separate network and machine than your personal or work one. But we, at Digital Phablet, do not recommend installing any Windows 11 setup, especially if it hasn’t been released by Microsoft yet.
