OnePlus Tag to be launched this year to compete with Apple’s ‘AirTag’

OnePlus Tag is here! Nowadays, producing smartphones, but manufacturers of the smartphone are also extending their product ecosystem to merge many new items.

They started with creating smartwatches first, then followed by the release of wireless earphones, and now they innovated the item tracking tags.

A world that Tile once only dominates, now already entered by Samsung and Apple with their SmartTag and AirTag gadgets. And according to a new trademark, OnePlus Tag might be next in the market.

Recent sources said that OnePlus has already filed a patent application that cites not only OnePlus Tag but also other OnePlus products.

According to the patent database, the patent was filed by OnePlus on May 18, 2021, showing that the company has only just started the development of its products.

The company might save this possible item tracking tag for a future occasion.  The Nord 2 should get its own introduction in the summer, and another variant like OnePlus most likely to be seen in the fall.

In that case, then their gadget’s characteristics will be comparable to Apple’s AirTag and Samsung’s SmartTag.

The company still hasn’t released the information on the pricing, release date, or the other features yet.

As they were reportedly still preparing to introduce the Nord CE 5G in the next few days, on the other hand, OnePlus has missed the opportunities to make any announcements or release information that mentions the OnePlusTag.

A rumor about Oppo be working on an item tracking tag similar to OnePlusTag had been spread lately.

Considering how close the relationship between OnePlus and Oppo was to their collaboration in the previous years, the product of OnePlus might be just a rebrand version of Oppo’s offering.
