Recent reports from the website developers state that Apple is working on forming its own search engine.
In the website logs, a few website developers noticed an increase recently concerning the Applebot activity. Basically, Applebot is a web crawler meaning that it scans the web to know how the search results can be ranked. A host of factors determines this; user engagement and relevance. Therefore, Applebot’s recent activity is the main indicator that Apple plans to enter the search engine aspect.
This recent report has confirmed this conclusion and suggests that Applebot is currently more active than the previous days. The founder of Coywolf, Jon Henshaw, is among those developers who noticed a lot regarding these website logs.
He said that Apple is investing a lot in the search side concerning the relevant job postings. Further that employees should be indulged with NLP, ML, AI, and others concerning the apps and services. Apple re-published an important update within its support page in July 2020. These add-ups are the same as provided to webmasters.
Henshaw further added that Applebot is crawling the websites at a higher rate. When he checked his server logs on the WP engine, he noted that Applebot regularly crawled on his sites daily.
There could be a great chance that Apple is majorly working to improve Siri’s search results. In the end, improving the current technology is still a good plan rather than going for a new aspect.
The tech giant, which is Cupertino-based, takes pride in its closed system that cares for privacy and runs without any advertising. A new search engine makes it compulsory to invest in adverts as well, and if Apple doesn’t plan to do so, the chances are lower than we would observe a new Apple search engine.
But after the release, the company will also be launching the two guides on “Apple search engine optimization and Marketing”. Optimization and Marketing are also some of the biggest aspects of Google Search Engine as well.
To date, Google was ranked as the Best apple search engine, but since the talks of the search engine by Apple are making rounds in the market, people are also expecting to get something new.
This new service will be Apple’s default search engine as well. This will further lead apple to become the best search engine after Google. Currently, Safari is the most famous mobile browser in the United States while Chrome is standing at second.
What will be the Apple search engine name?
It is still unclear, but there are some chances that the name will be something like “SIRI” so the search engine’s name could be something similar. Or else, the company will go with simply “Search Engine”
