The final mission in the “Phantom Liberty” DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 can change based on the choices you make. One option allows you to acquire powerful gear, such as the Blackwall Quickhack and Erebus weapon blueprints. Having strong cyberware and weapons is essential in Night City, making these items highly valuable. However, to get them, you’ll need to make a specific decision at the end of the story.
Warning: The following contains spoilers for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty.
Both blueprints are only available during the “Somewhat Damaged” mission, which leads to one of two possible endings. The only way to access this is by choosing to hand over Songbird to Solomon Reed during the “Firestarter” quest. If you choose to help Songbird instead of Reed, you’ll lock yourself into a different ending and won’t be able to get either the cyberware or the weapon blueprints later on.
How to Find the Erebus Weapon Blueprint in Cyberpunk 2077
Entering the Cynosure Facility
In the “Somewhat Damaged” mission, you need to capture Songbird from a MaxTac facility that contains both blueprints. This building is dangerous, filled with guards, hostile technology, and a large robot called Cerberus that will hunt you down. Your first step is to hack into four terminals to gain access to the base.
It’s essential to be well-prepared before entering, because if Cerberus finds you, there’s no escape—it’s an instant game over, and you’ll have to restart. Staying quiet and vigilant to avoid detection is key, especially to keep Cerberus from spotting you.
Once you control the Sierra, Alpha, Victor, and Bravo terminals, you should connect the main power to the storage area via a power station located in the dining room. Rerouting the power unlocks a maintenance area which contains the Erebus blueprint on a table, ready for you to pick up and use later.
Note: To reroute power effectively, your character needs a Technical Ability of at least 20.
Using the Erebus Blueprint
Blueprint translation grants you the Erebus, a powerful Power Submachine Gun that deals +100% damage on headshots and +25% armor penetration. This weapon is one of the best perks in the DLC, infused with Blackwall energy, which makes it especially deadly against enemies with lower health.
How to Find the Blackwall Quickhack Blueprint in Cyberpunk 2077
Accessing the Prototype Room
The Blackwall Quickhack is located near the Erebus blueprint in the Experimental Prototyping room just past the dining hall. Access requires either a special passcode or a hacking ability of at least 15 in Technical Ability. Inside, you’ll find the blueprint inside a suitcase on a table that glows yellow.
This Quickhack, called Militech Canto Mk.6, takes up four quickhack slots and costs 12 RAM to use. It causes lethal damage to cyberware and neural systems within a 20-meter radius, disabling enemies, drones, turrets, and even mechs. Using it consumes RAM as it spreads, making it a powerful tool for stealth or aggressive play.
Crafting the Blackwall Erebus or Quickhack
After completing the “Somewhat Damaged” quest, you’ll return home and eventually receive a message to start a new mission called “The Corrosion.” This sends you back to the Edgenet shop in Kabuki Market, where Yoko decrypts a component that you can craft into either the Erebus or the Blackwall Gateway Quickhack.
You only get one of these components, so your choice depends on your playstyle. The Quickhack is great if you focus on hacking and stealth, while the Erebus suits a more direct, combat-heavy approach. Remember, both items come with their own risks—using the Corrosion effect can spread infection to you, with consequences like the Blackwall speaking to you and making subtle threats.
Duplication and Cheats
Some players have found ways to duplicate items, mostly on PC using console commands or cheat software like CyberEngineTweaks. With this, you can add items directly to your inventory:
- Erebus:
Game.AddToInventory("Items.Preset_Borg4a_HauntedGun",1) - Blackwall Quickhack:
Game.AddToInventory("Items.HauntedCyberdeck_Legendary",1)
Press the ~ key to open the console, then paste the code (excluding “Game.AddToInventory:”).
However, keep in mind that the version 2.3 patch has patched out many duplication glitches involving the Behavioral System Component, so on consoles, you’re limited to choosing one and cannot duplicate the component itself.
Final Thoughts
Choosing between the Erebus weapon and the Blackwall Quickhack depends on how you play. The Quickhack boosts stealth and hacking, while the Erebus offers raw firepower. Both come with their own dangers, as they spread the Corrosion infection, but either can be extremely useful for challenging encounters in Night City. Whichever you choose, these tools will give you a strong edge in your endgame adventures.
