WhatsApp To Store and Monitor Everything

WhatsApp has updated its terms and conditions, and every user has to agree to let the company store and monitor everything on WhatsApp. If they disagree, their accounts will be deleted.

Whatsapp has started sending notification in their app informing the company’s latest change have added to their privacy policy. These latest changes will come into effect on February 8, 2021. Users will either have to agree to let the company store and monitor WhatsApp’s activities or lose their accounts. According to the company, they can delete the account if the user disagrees with these terms.

A user has to agree to store and monitor everything on WhatsApp or lose their accounts!

WhatsApp promotes encryption and security, but the introduction of such policies would harm their brand positioning in terms of security. Through this, WhatsApp will easily locate you, locate your contacts, and can peak into the conversation if they’re reported for whatsoever reason.

The application also listed “… other Facebook companies,” which means the information is now available and readable among other facebook-owned apps such as Facebook and Instagram.

The company further added that enabling these options would allow them to give their users a highly accessible application for day-to-day use or meet their business needs.

The latest privacy policy changes also shed light on global operations and data transfer, including how information is shared internally within the Facebook companies (WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram) and the partners.

These terms were not mentioned before in the global privacy policy but it is now been mentioned by the company on their official privacy policy page.
