iOS 14 Picture in Picture mode is one of the most anticipated features in the history of iOS. It helps you watch videos while multitasking on your phone. But, YouTube is blocking this feature unless you pay to get the premium version of the video.

Why iOS 14 Picture-in-Picture is not working for YouTube Videos?

Have a look at this, I opened a video on my safari browser on my iOS 14 to enable picture in picture mode but it disappears as soon as I close the safari browser. We dived in to see why it is happening, why youtube is blocking iOS 14 Picture in Picture mode for my youtube videos, so we found out that you will have to get the premium version of YouTube to enable it.

Some experts have also said that this option for youtube only works for youtube embedded videos on websites. If you want to use it for on YouTube app, you might have to spend some more bucks to get that option on your iPhone.
