Apple’s upcoming iPhone lineup is approaching its launch, with color options shaping up to be one of the most exciting features this year. Rumors indicate that the iPhone 17 series will revive some popular shades while also introducing daring new hues, including one of the most vibrant colors ever seen on a Pro model.
The standard iPhone 17 is expected to be available in five finishes: a potential Pinkish Purple, Green, Blue, Black, and White. The Purple and Green options, or perhaps just one of them, are anticipated to return from earlier models. The green variant is rumored to be more saturated than previous versions, while the blue has been offered in various shades over the years. Black and White remain classic choices for those seeking a neutral aesthetic. While gray has been mentioned, its inclusion remains uncertain, possibly limited to Pro models or omitted entirely. The edges are expected to maintain the typical aluminum finish.
The iPhone 17 Air is projected to feature a softer, more refined color palette, including Light Blue, Light Gold, Black, and Silver. The Light Gold finish is anticipated to have a subtle metallic sheen, and the Light Blue may resemble Sky Blue. Black and Silver provide timeless, versatile options and could be applied to titanium edges similar to those on the iPhone 15 Pro and 16 Pro models.
High-end models, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, are rumored to come in four distinctive colors: Orange, Dark Blue, Silver, and Black. The introduction of Orange is particularly notable, as it could be the boldest color Apple has offered in its Pro lineup. Dark Blue offers a rich, premium feel, while Silver and Black maintain the professional aesthetic. The gray color remains uncertain and might not be available at all or could be limited to certain models. These Pro versions are expected to differ visually from the iPhone 16 Pro, especially since titanium is rumored to be replaced by aluminum in their construction.
Apple’s official reveal of the iPhone 17 series is expected on September 9, with pre-orders possibly starting on September 12. If leaks prove accurate, 2025 might be remembered as one of the most colorful iPhone launches to date.
