Leaker Majin Bu suggests that Apple plans to replace its unsuccessful FineWoven cases with a new material called TechWoven, which is described as a synthetic fabric offering a more technical, less luxurious aesthetic. Recently, Bu shared images purportedly displaying the range of colors available for this new line.
In a photo posted on X, Bu shows five color options: orange, purple, green, blue, and gray. These shades align with the colors expected for the upcoming iPhone 17 launch.
Notably, one of the blue cases exhibits a minor but noticeable wear mark on its lower right corner, reminiscent of issues that plagued the previous FineWoven accessories. While this doesn’t necessarily mean TechWoven will encounter similar problems, the visible ding raises some concerns.
Additional images from Bu’s website reveal more details, including a close-up highlighting the textured surface of the cases. Several photos also feature a black case with a tiny blemish near the bottom corner.
The images confirm that the cases will have two lanyard holes—one on each side—and showcase the side buttons, which are described as metallic, contrasting, and providing enhanced tactile feedback. Bu mentions that the TechWoven cases will be compatible with MagSafe and include an opening on one side for easy access to the Camera Control button.
