Cook expressed his enthusiasm for visiting the Fifth Avenue Apple store at every iPhone launch, describing it as “the heart of the world” due to the amazing energy and excitement that surrounds it.

As they made their way to the store on the Upper East Side, Fallon inquired about the kind of celebrity treatment Cook receives during these store visits.

Fallon: “Do you feel like a rock star? Everyone is screaming and cheering for you!”

Cook: “It really is surreal! It feels like an out-of-body experience. I have to remind myself that all this affection is aimed at Apple, and I’m just the person who happens to be in the spotlight.”

Reflecting on his journey, Cook shared that he has spent years with Apple and could never have imagined rising to the position of CEO. Fallon chimed in, revealing that he was once a computer science major and knows how to code in COBOL and a bit in C++.

The conversation also touched on Apple’s email summary feature, which Cook appreciates for its ability to help him handle the flood of emails he receives daily. “With just one click, I can get a concise summary of long emails,” he explained.

The light-hearted conversation lasts around five minutes, providing an entertaining glimpse into their interaction. You can catch the full exchange in the video below.
