Today marks the start of pre-orders for the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone Air—a day that brings excitement and anticipation for Apple enthusiasts. The first shipments are expected to arrive on September 19; however, some models are already experiencing delays in delivery estimates.
Among the new releases, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is facing the most significant delays, with most configurations now estimated to arrive between October 6 and October 13. Limited availability is noted for certain colors, such as Silver and Cosmic Orange, which seem to be in shorter supply compared to the Deep Blue option. In contrast, the iPhone 17 Pro remains available for immediate dispatch on launch day for all color and storage variants.
The standard iPhone 17 is also broadly accessible for launch-day delivery across all options, as is the sleek, ultra-light iPhone Air, which continues to be available for immediate shipment in every color and storage choice.
It’s important to remember that pre-order shipping dates aren’t the only indicator of sales performance. The actual supply levels Apple had prepared for each model prior to pre-orders remain undisclosed. While the iPhone 17 Pro Max appears to hold more popularity, it’s also possible that Apple had fewer units of this model available initially.
