The release of the iPhone 17 is just around the corner, and new hints suggest Apple may introduce a novel feature for its MagSafe cases.
Majin Bu posted a video showing someone holding what is described as a “Liquid Silicone” case on an iPhone 17 mockup.
In context, Liquid Glass refers to the transparent design elements characteristic of Apple’s upcoming visual style for iOS 26. The video doesn’t clarify the meaning of “Liquid Silicone,” but it does reveal a design modification that has recently been rumored.
Earlier this month, multiple leakers provided evidence indicating Apple plans to incorporate lanyard attachment points on the iPhone 17 cases.
The video depicts what appears to be a typical silicone case compatible with the current iPhone 16, but it features two small openings on each side at the bottom edge, likely intended for attaching a lanyard strap.
This design resembles the lanyard slot seen in the AirPods Pro 2 case, suggesting similar functionality.
Third-party cases often include integrated lanyards or straps, which can make holding the iPhone more convenient, especially for photographers or those worried about dropping their device during use.
