For 2019, Huawei beats Apple and stole the second position for the best smartphone manufacturer of 2019.
Based on the reports by Market analysis firm Strategy Analytics, Counterpoint Research, and Canalys. Huawei reported shipping about 240 million phones in 2019. In comparison with this, Apple shipped 200 million smartphones in 2019. Keeping the lead, Samsung shipped 300 million phones in 2019. Oppo and Xiaomi stood and 4th and 5th place.
Huawei has managed to ship such a huge amount of mobile phones despite being banned by the US. Although Google has banned some apps on Huawei smartphones yet it is very popular outside Chinese markets. The sales showed a 17% increase in the report.
The gap between Huawei and Samsung is getting narrow. But Samsung is setting its eyes to launch S20, which can gain them a huge smartphone market. Comparing Samsung with Apple, it provides better specifications with cheaper price tags.
As per the research paper by Counterpoint Research, this is the first time ever the smartphone market has ever showed declined for two years in a row.
Huawei has to do more struggle if they want to stay on the top of the line in 2020.
