Just a week remains until Apple reveals its flagship iPhone 17 lineup. While most industry analysts have anticipated price hikes across most new models, recent reports suggest there might be some positive news for consumers.
According to JPMorgan’s latest insights ahead of the official launch, the expected price increases may be minimal or possibly nonexistent. Traditionally, predictions have leaned toward higher prices for all new models, except perhaps the base iPhone 17. However, JPMorgan indicates that only one model might see a slight price increase—and even that could be interpreted as maintaining current pricing levels.
The firm’s projections reveal that the iPhone 17 Pro will likely be the only device to see a definite rise in cost. It is expected to launch with a 256GB storage option, replacing the lower capacity variant, which probably didn’t appeal to many buyers. Notably, this model is projected to retain its last year’s starting price.
The more uncertain aspect concerns the iPhone 17 Air, which replaces the Plus model but features a new slim design. Its pricing could range from $899 to $949, accommodating its revised form factor despite less advanced cameras and battery features. This slight price adjustment might offset the new design’s advantages.
If JPMorgan’s prediction holds true, the entire iPhone 17 lineup could see minimal pricing changes compared to last year’s iPhone 16 series, with only the storage options for the Pro model being altered.
