In light of this rapid growth, many companies are eager to invest in OpenAI. As reported by The Wall Street Journal, investors such as Apple and Nvidia are in discussions regarding a funding round that could value the company at over $100 billion.
Microsoft, despite its aspirations for independence, continues to be one of OpenAI’s primary investors and is expected to participate in this funding round as well. The company has leveraged ChatGPT’s language model to create its own generative AI chatbot, Copilot, which is already featured in many PCs.
