In Arc Raiders, you’ll come across various random materials during your journey. While many have an immediate use, some only become valuable after months of gathering. One of these materials is Rusted Bolts, an uncommon item needed to complete the first stage of the Trophy Display. Luckily, there are several locations where you can find Rusted Bolts so you can finish this quest.
Where to Find Rusted Bolts
Rusted Bolts are classified as both an Industrial and Mechanical material. They are most likely to appear in loot spots marked with these types of items. Through testing, some locations proved more reliable, so these are the best places to explore first when hunting for Rusted Bolts:
- Vehicle Maintenance and Container Storage in Spaceport
- Power Generation Complex in Dam Battlegrounds
- Loading Bay in Stella Montis
Among these, the Spaceport is the best place to search, especially in Vehicle Maintenance. This area has many containers, lockers, and small bins that can be looted. Smaller bins inside shipping containers tend to spawn Rusted Bolts more often in my experience. Overall, the Spaceport is an ideal starting point if you’re looking for this material.
Alternatively, if the breachable room on the top floor of Container Storage isn’t looted, it can be a good spot. This room has a lot of bins and drawers to rummage through for Rusted Bolts. Keep in mind, Container Storage is a busy PvP area, so be prepared for possible fights if you’re not playing solo.
In Dam Battlegrounds, the Power Generation Complex is a preferred location because of its size and the abundance of loot-filled metal containers. These containers often contain Rusted Bolts. Focus your search on the underground eastern side of the complex, where a hallway outside the control room has a group of metal boxes you can breach.
Water Treatment Control is also somewhat useful, but unless you spawn close to it, the area is often looted. Outside the western room, there aren’t many spots where you can find Rusted Bolts. If you spawn farther from Power Generation Complex, Water Treatment Control can serve as a decent alternative worth a quick check before you exit.
Stella Montis is another map where Rusted Bolts are commonly found. The Loading Bay area has numerous shipping containers across multiple floors. These containers contain bins along the sides that often hold Rusted Bolts, with usually two or three bins per container.
Tip: Be sure to check all floors of the Loading Bay, but watch out for the Bastion and Shredder roaming the lowest level. If they are still active, it’s best to only search the second and third floors to avoid unnecessary combat.
Currently, in Arc Raiders, there’s no method to craft or directly purchase Rusted Bolts. You’ll need to find them through gameplay. The good news is, you only need three Rusted Bolts to contribute to the Trophy Display. Once you have these three, you can submit them immediately upon extraction, saving inventory space while continuing your search for more Rusted Bolts.
