Custom Colors and Lighting
One of the standout features of the GameSir KALEID controller is its 16.8 million custom colors. While these vibrant lights add a unique flair to your gaming setup, it's important to note that custom lighting is not yet supported on Xbox consoles. When connected to an Xbox, the controller will display random lights. For full control over the lighting and modes, you need to connect it to a Windows PC and use the GameSir app.
Seamless Connectivity
The GameSir KALEID connects effortlessly with Xbox consoles. I tested it with both my Xbox One S and Series X, and the connection was smooth and hassle-free. Similarly, connecting it to a Windows PC was instantaneous, making it a versatile choice for multi-platform gamers.
Vibration and Key Mapping
The controller offers vibration feedback similar to that of an official Xbox controller, enhancing the gaming experience with tactile feedback. Additionally, the custom key mapping feature is a great touch, allowing gamers to personalize their controls for a more tailored experience.
Wired Connection Only
A potential downside for some users is that the GameSir KALEID only supports a wired connection and does not have Bluetooth capability. This might be a dealbreaker for those who prefer the freedom of wireless controllers. However, the absence of batteries can be seen as a plus, saving you the hassle and cost of constantly replacing them.
Battery-Free Operation
One of the big advantages of the GameSir KALEID is that it doesn’t require any batteries. If you're tired of changing batteries and spending money on them, this controller is a great choice.
Who Should Buy It?
If you're looking for a cost-effective, stylish controller with customizable features, the GameSir KALEID is perfect for you. It's especially suitable for gamers who play on both Xbox and Windows PC, and those who don't mind using a wired connection.
