Microsoft Launches Notion Alternative: Microsoft Loop

Goodbye notion.

Looking for a Notion alternative? Microsoft just announced their new project called “Loop” which even gives notion’s premium services for free!

In Microsoft Loop, users can create dedicated spaces for planning meetings, allocating tasks, tracking issues, and describing products. In the meantime, the service is available for testing as a “preview”.

Nonetheless, Microsoft Loop can already be accessed via its website and mobile apps for iOS and Android. Microsoft should gradually expand its list of templates since Loop currently offers only 10 templates, compared to hundreds in similar services.

There are a number of collaboration services like Loop, such as Asana and Notion.

It will, however, be integrated with the Microsoft 365 package, just like other Microsoft products. Loop is “a transformative co-creation experience that unifies teams, content, and tasks across your tools and devices,” according to the company.

Any project content can simultaneously be converted into a Microsoft Loop component. Groups of people, including those outside the project team, can access them. A complete page can also be shared as a link or live page.

Microsoft 365 Copilot, recently announced, is also accessible for preview in the Loop. It offers opportunities for creative collaboration through the use of artificial intelligence. Teams, Outlook, Whiteboard, and Word for the web are now also compatible.
