Projectors can serve as fantastic alternatives to traditional TVs, especially when they can be easily transported. Whether you invest a few hundred dollars or go for a more premium model, purchasing a projector screen is essential for optimal picture quality, as using a wall isn’t ideal. If you’re after an economical option, XGIMI has unveiled a clever choice that’s even portable enough for outdoor adventures.
XGIMI recently introduced a new foldable projection screen designed to fit conveniently into a backpack. The company highlights its suitability for outdoor settings and states that it pairs excellently with the MoGo 3 Pro portable projector released last year, although it’s compatible with any projector intended for indoor or outdoor use.

This screen expands to a generous 70-inch size and uses a four-legged frame to stand upright. The entire setup, which weighs around 3.3 lbs (or approximately 1.5 kilos), collapses down to just 18 inches in length.
The frame is constructed from lightweight aluminum alloy, ensuring not only portability but also resistance to corrosion caused by ground moisture. Additionally, each leg is equipped with stakes to secure the screen against wind if needed.
The screen fabric is washable, allowing you to toss it in the washing machine to remove dirt and stains after a day at the park or a camping trip. XGIMI also claims that the material is wrinkle-free, unfolding into a smooth and flat surface. It includes a carrying pouch for easy transport alongside your other gear.

The quad-pod design allows for fast setup, utilizing an integrated elastic cord that firmly stretches the screen without any slack. The entire unfolding and assembly should take only one simple step, not counting the time needed to secure the stakes in the ground.
The price for XGIMI’s portable projector screen is and can be purchased now through XGIMI’s website and Amazon.
XGIMI also unveiled a new bundle for the MoGo 3 Pro, which includes:
- the projector itself, typically priced at $379,
- a waterproof carrying case valued at $69,
- a unique optical filter that increases screen size by five times, filling the entire room (though it may result in a slightly blurry image); normally priced at $49, this is included for free with the MoGo 3 Pro,
- an auto-adjusting stand worth $45,
- a USB-C power cable.
The complete bundle is available for $549 and can also be found on Amazon and XGIMI’s online store.
