Apple has officially announced the dates for its upcoming World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC 2025), where leadership from the company, based in Cupertino, California, will showcase the next iterations of its software platforms.
WWDC 2025 is scheduled to run from June 9 through June 13, with a special keynote presentation kicking off on the first day of the event. Apple has also stated that this year’s conference will be fully virtual, allowing all developers to participate at no cost.
While the keynote will be an in-person gathering at Apple Park in Cupertino, attendance is limited. Students and developers who wish to attend can find more details on how to apply on the official WWDC website.
What to Expect at WWDC 2025
WWDC is primarily a technical event aimed at developers, but the keynote presentation is geared toward consumers as well. This will be our first opportunity to catch a glimpse of the forthcoming features headed to Apple devices and services.
According to the WWDC press release, Apple plans to highlight significant advancements in its software during the conference. We can anticipate announcements regarding updates to iOS 19, iPadOS 19, watchOS 12, and macOS 16 during Tim Cook’s keynote address.
Additionally, there may be updates on tvOS, possibly a new HomePod smart speaker featuring a screen, and enhancements to the Vision Pro headset’s visionOS software.
Expect discussions concerning Apple Intelligence as well, especially in light of recent delays and challenges with new features. It remains to be seen if Apple will openly address these issues or if they will be merely a topic of speculation in response to limited communications from the company.
