Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is just around the corner. This annual event serves as a platform for the tech giant to unveil new software and technologies across its product range while offering sessions and tools to assist developers in creating applications for Apple devices.
How to Watch
This year, the highly anticipated WWDC keynote will kick off at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET) on Monday, June 9.
There are various ways to tune in live, including through apple.com, the Apple TV app, and the official Apple YouTube channel. For your convenience, we’ve embedded the YouTube player at the top of this page.
While Apple typically doesn’t disclose the duration of its WWDC keynote beforehand, based on previous events, you can expect it to last anywhere from 90 minutes to two hours.
So, is it worth tuning in? We believe it is, and here’s why …
New Software Features
If you own an iPhone or any other Apple device like a Mac, iPad, or Apple Watch, you’ll get the scoop on the exciting software features set to roll out in the fall. Additionally, Apple is rumored to introduce a new naming structure for its software, aligning it with the release year. So instead of iOS 19, you’ll likely see iOS 26, along with iPadOS 26, macOS 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26.
A Fresh New Look
The tech giant is expected to unveil its most significant visual design change since iOS 7. Notably, Bloomberg has indicated that this change will “fundamentally alter the appearance of operating systems and enhance consistency across Apple’s software platforms.” Prepare to see a refreshed look for all on-screen elements associated with Apple products.
Artificial Intelligence Updates
The keynote will also provide Apple with an opportunity to clarify its stance on artificial intelligence. So far, the company has faced criticism for its lack of compelling AI features while competitors like Google and Microsoft have advanced. Possible announcements include a new AI-based battery management system and a health-coaching tool that analyzes your fitness data for personalized advice, along with other exciting features.
A Bonus Reason!
Rumors suggest that Apple may introduce a dedicated gaming app, potentially replacing Game Center. This app could function as a central hub for launching games, monitoring achievements, connecting with friends, and discovering new titles across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. It may also feature editorial content and integrate with communication tools like iMessage and FaceTime for improved player interaction.
