The UAE passport has risen to the fifth spot on the Henley Passport Index, providing its holders visa-free entry to 184 countries and territories.
The Henley Passport Index, based in the UK, ranks passports according to how many destinations their holders can access without a visa or with visa-on-arrival. It’s widely regarded as the most dependable global measure of passport strength.
Since 2015, the UAE passport has experienced a remarkable ascent of 37 positions, moving from 42nd to 5th. This progress reflects the country’s strategic diplomatic initiatives, which have expanded travel opportunities for its citizens.
Additional notable rankings include the UK passport in seventh place, sharing the position with Australia, while the Russian passport is ranked 46th. The Saudi passport is positioned at 54th, and Pakistan’s passport ranks 98th, allowing access to 66 countries.
