The United Arab Emirates announced that it will not permit its airspace or land to be utilized for any attacks against Iran. During a media briefing in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, officials outlined various security, economic, and humanitarian measures. Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, emphasized the country’s stance as clear and cautious. “The UAE will not allow its airspace or territory to be used in any assault on Iran,” she stated. She also mentioned that the UAE retains the right to defend its sovereignty and ensure the safety of its citizens, residents, and visitors.

Al Hashimy characterized Iran’s ballistic missile program as a regional threat and underscored that the security of Gulf nations is interconnected. She added that there is no military resolution to the ongoing crisis and warned that further escalation could destabilize the region more. The UAE has responded to recent Iranian attacks by closing its embassy in Tehran and withdrawing its ambassador.

Major General Abdul Nasser Al Humaidi, the defense ministry spokesperson, affirmed that the UAE would never accept threats to its sovereignty or security. He explained the recent sounds heard across the country as missile interceptions and confirmed that the armed forces remain highly prepared. The UAE has substantial strategic reserves capable of countering aerial threats for an extended period.

On the economic side, Abdulla bin Touq, Minister of Economy and Tourism, stated that the nation has enough strategic reserves of essential food and goods to last four to six months. “There’s no risk of shortages,” he assured, noting that authorities are monitoring markets closely to prevent unnecessary price hikes. Residents were advised to avoid panic buying and stockpiling. Bin Touq also announced that approximately 80 flights per day are operating to facilitate travel for those leaving the country.

The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) reported that daily life continues normally across the UAE, with all critical services functioning smoothly.
