The U.S. is encouraging Arab and Muslim nations to contribute military forces to Gaza to facilitate Israel’s withdrawal and to provide financial support for transition and reconstruction initiatives, according to Axios. Israel has faced widespread international criticism for its military actions in Gaza, where health authorities report over 65,000 Palestinian casualties.
