The next brilliant addition to the Marvel universe is Riri Williams, who embarks on an ambitious journey to create something extraordinary, as revealed in the initial trailer for Ironheart.
After making her debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, MIT student Riri (played by Dominique Thorne) returns to her hometown of Chicago with aspirations of constructing an armored suit reminiscent of Tony Stark’s. Her adventure brings her into contact with Parker Robbins (Anthony Ramos), also known as The Hood, a shadowy figure who presents the young inventor with an opportunity to realize her dreams.
However, Robbins is prepared to engage in dubious activities to help Riri achieve her goals. Concerned for her safety, Riri’s friends and family caution her about his potentially harmful motives, fearing she may be drawn into a darker world. Ultimately, it’s up to Riri to decide how far she’s willing to go to reach her greatness.
Ironheart features a talented cast that includes Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White.

Chinaka Hodge serves as the creator and head writer of Ironheart, with executive producers including Zoie Nagelhout and Ryan Coogler from Black Panther. The series promises to blend elements of science and magic, creating a captivating combination.
“Riri is certainly in conversation with a street-level show like Daredevil,” Coogler shared with Marvel.com. “You have characters—both heroes and villains—trying to navigate with what they possess. Then you introduce the cosmic aspect of Marvel, with characters fit for Doctor Strange or WandaVision. The blend of street-level and cosmic Marvel is quite an intriguing mix.”
Ironheart will wrap up Phase Five of the MCU, with The Fantastic Four: First Steps set to launch Phase Six in July.
This series will consist of six episodes available for streaming on Disney+. The first three episodes are set to premiere at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on June 24.
