Razer has launched its competition for the fastest gaming laptops of 2025 with the new Blade 18. This machine is touted as the most powerful in the Blade lineup and the slimmest to include Intel’s robust HX-series processor.
This laptop comes with three graphics options: the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, the RTX 5080, and the top-tier RTX 5090 GPU. Storage begins at 1TB and can expand to a massive 4TB, while RAM options are available in 32GB and 64GB configurations.
Additional memory slots are available for further upgrades, and the onboard M.2 slots allow for up to 8TB of storage. Those who opt for the highest specs with maximum RAM and storage will have to invest $4,899.99 for this laptop. Pre-orders are open through Razer’s official store, with the base model currently priced at $3,199.99 in the U.S.
An absolute beast
The Blade 18 is powered by Intel's 24-core Ultra 9 275HX processor, crafted on TSMC’s N3B process node, delivering an impressive peak frequency of 5.4 GHz in boost mode. It also features Nvidia’s cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5090 GPU.

Razer claims this new Blade laptop will provide a remarkable 280W of total package power (TPP), utilizing the full 175W output that Nvidia specifies for its top mobile graphics engines.
To manage the increased thermal load, Razer has enhanced the cooling system with a large vapor chamber design and three fans, plus the “thinnest exhaust fins in its class.”
The connectivity options are extensive and well ahead of competing models. The laptop offers two Thunderbolt ports (one each from Gen4 and Gen5), HDMI 2.1, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, an RJ45 Ethernet port, and a UHS-II SD card slot.
It supports native 400W charging, and the built-in 99 WHr battery can also be charged via a USB Type-C cable, with peak output reaching up to 100W. The chassis is constructed from CNC-milled aluminum, but unlike its predecessor, the 2025 version of the Blade 18 is offered in a single black finish with an anodized surface.
What makes the Blade 18 special?
Razer’s latest flagship laptop features the world’s first dual-mode display, enabling users to switch between resolution and refresh rate for an optimized viewing experience. The 18-inch display boasts a native UHD+ resolution (3840 x 2400 pixels) and a refresh rate of 240Hz.

For those looking for enhanced fluidity, the refresh rate can escalate to 440Hz when switching to the FHD+ resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels). This display covers the full DCI-P3 color gamut and is equipped with gaming features like Nvidia G-Sync.
Razer has also improved the keyboard design on the Blade 18. The keys now provide 1.5mm travel, an improvement of 35% over the previous iteration, and a new 10-key shortcut system has been incorporated into the number cluster. Furthermore, the laptop features a 5-megapixel webcam with a mechanical privacy shutter. Audio output is managed by a THX Spatial Audio-ready system, enhanced with two tweeters and four woofers.
In addition to the Blade 18, Razer is set to release the Blade 16, which was first revealed at CES earlier this year. This laptop is the thinnest ever produced by Razer, offering up to an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, and a QHD+ 240Hz OLED display.
The starting price for the Blade 16 is $2,799.99 for the base model featuring an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU.
