A video shared by White House officials is rapidly gaining attention, showing President Donald Trump surrounded by a circle of pastors praying over him inside the Oval Office, amid the ongoing US and Israeli military campaign against Iran now in its seventh day.
Observers express concern that this military escalation could worsen humanitarian conditions and further destabilize an already volatile region.
The footage, posted by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino, depicts influential religious leaders from across the country gathering in prayer. President Trump is seated behind his desk with his eyes closed as Pastor Tom Mullins leads the prayer.
Pastor Mullins stated, “We are honored to stand before You today, lifting up our president. We pray for Your continued blessings and favor to rest upon him. We ask for divine wisdom to fill his heart and mind, seeking Your guidance during these difficult times.”
He also prayed for the safety of US troops and for the President to lead with strength and grace.
The current strikes have heightened tensions across the Middle East, with analysts warning that ongoing retaliation could extend the cycle of conflict. The US Department of Defense announced that Operation Epic Fury targets Iran’s missile capabilities, production sites, and naval assets.
Following the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a joint US-Israeli airstrike on Tehran, Iran has launched a series of missile and drone attacks in retaliation, targeting Israel, Gulf nations including the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, and claiming to have struck American facilities.
The US has confirmed that six soldiers lost their lives when a drone hit a base in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait. Critics emphasize that the human and infrastructural costs highlight the urgent need for diplomacy to prevent further escalation.
