The mysterious depths of the ocean await in the first teaser for Nautilus, an exciting new series that draws inspiration from Jules Verne’s classic work, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
“This summer, embark on a thrilling journey and uncover a hidden realm beneath the waves,” reveals the voiceover in the trailer. The series stars Shazad Latif as Captain Nemo, an Indian prince whose birthright and family have been taken from him. After being captured by the East India Mercantile Company, Nemo is driven by a thirst for revenge against those who stripped him of everything.
To carry out his dangerous plan, Nemo steals a prototype submarine and escapes into the ocean’s depths along with a band of fellow captives. His quest leads him in search of Viking treasure hidden at the Pillars of Halvar. However, the East India Mercantile Company aims to thwart his mission and will stop at nothing to do so.
The cast of Nautilus also features Georgia Flood as Humility Lucas, Céline Menville as Loti, and Thierry Fremont as Benoit. Notable guest appearances include Richard E. Grant, Anna Torv, and Noah Taylor.
Xavier Marchand and Anand Tucker are the brains behind the development and executive production of Nautilus, while James Dormer is responsible for writing and also serves as an executive producer.

Initially, Disney+ announced the series but later scrapped it as part of a cost-reduction strategy. AMC picked it up for distribution across the United States and Canada, while Amazon made it available through Prime Video in the UK and Ireland.
Nautilus consists of ten episodes, with the first two premiering at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday, June 29. It will be available on AMC and AMC+, airing weekly until the season finale, which will feature two episodes on Sunday, August 17.
