A few weeks back, Motorola launched its lineup of Edge and G-series smartphones for 2025. However, it seems the company is already deep into the development of their next models, even as leaks threaten to spoil any surprises.
According to Android Headlines, leaked renders show the upcoming Moto Edge 70, Moto G 2026, and Moto G Power 2026. All three devices appear to follow the same design aesthetic established by their immediate predecessors.
Motorola doesn’t seem inclined to revise the distinctive camera bump shape or the faux leather texture on the back of its devices. While consistency in design could provide a unique identity in a crowded Android market, introducing a fresh design element could be beneficial at this stage.
Familiar Design, Enhanced Features

Based on the leaked images, the premium Moto Edge 70 resembles the Moto Edge 60 closely, with similar camera placements, curved edges, and a sloped display design.
Though specifics about the internal hardware remain unconfirmed, some sources speculate that it may feature 12GB of RAM to support Moto AI functionalities, alongside a MediaTek Dimensity 7000 series processor. The Moto G Power 2026 also appears to maintain the full aesthetic lineage of its 2025 version.

The dual-camera system is reported to include a 50-megapixel sensor alongside an ambient light sensor positioned below the LED flash. Notably, this mid-range model may opt for a frosted glass look instead of the faux leather finish, although it still appears to utilize plastic as the base material.
The standard Moto G 2026, in contrast, retains its polycarbonate-like leather appearance and features a dual-camera setup on the back, though details of its specifications remain undisclosed.

The emerging trend indicates that Motorola is sticking to a recognizable design template, reminiscent of Samsung’s approach. However, these are still early leaks, so changes could occur as development progresses. Additionally, the upcoming budget models might introduce a few surprises in terms of finishes and color options.
In recent years, Motorola has dabbled with innovative design features, such as a wood grain finish, and has now introduced an Alcantara finish in its foldable Razr 2025 lineup—a look previously seen in Microsoft’s Surface devices. These bold colors and finishes could point towards a vibrant future for Motorola’s smartphone designs.
