That’s what Motorola aims to achieve with the newly introduced color option for the Motorola Razr Plus 2024, which now sports the 2025 Pantone Color of the Year. Alongside the Razr Plus 2024, this rich mocha hue is also featured on the Motorola Edge 50 neo in select regions.
“Mocha Mousse emphasizes the significance of enjoying the moment—a gentle nudge to appreciate life’s small joys. Inspired by this shade, we also developed a new soft inlay made from coffee grounds. Its warm and inviting quality captures the essence of this color,” stated Ruben Castano, VP of customer experience and design at Motorola.
While I might not grasp all of the nuances, I can certainly recognize the allure of this color. The soothing warm tones are quite captivating. It’s a deep, rich brown that truly stands out.
Brown is not typically a go-to color for smartphones, nor is it common in any other category beyond accessories like shoes and belts. Usually, manufacturers favor futuristic shades such as silver, black, and white, or they choose brighter colors like Koala Grey, Beach Sand, and Spritz Orange, which are currently available for the Razr 2024. It would be refreshing to see major brands like Apple and Samsung experiment with more diverse color palettes.
