This year’s standout folding phone is the Moto Razr 2025, offering the best features of the Motorola Razr series at a more accessible price. Recently, Motorola has upgraded this budget-friendly foldable device with a striking new color option that enhances its premium feel, thanks to an infusion of Swarovski crystals. While changes like this usually don’t turn heads, the addition of these crystals elevates the phone’s elegance and makes it truly stand out.
The new Brilliant Collection showcases a base Razr 2025 model adorned with a leather-inspired textured finish arranged in a 3D quilted pattern, reminiscent of designs seen on the Vivo X Flip. This edition is crafted to appeal more to those who prioritize fashion and style. I’ve always liked the range of colors available—Pink, White, Blue, and Green—but this iteration might be my favorite yet.
The Swarovski edition features 35 carefully hand-set crystals, with a large crystal positioned at the center of the hinge to make a bold statement. It’s complemented by a new Pantone Ice Melt colorway, which looks distinctly unique. One question that comes to mind: why didn’t Motorola bring out a flagship Moto Razr Ultra 2025 instead? Based on our review of the Razr 2025, this choice doesn’t seem like a drawback.
The base Razr model provides most of the flagship experience at about half the cost. It boasts a sizable 4,500 mAh battery with fast 30W charging, ensuring excellent battery life. Its front display measures 3.5 inches, supports a 90Hz refresh rate, and is optimized for widgets, gaming, and app use. Motorola’s thoughtful design makes it simple to quickly access the camera or turn on the flashlight. Meanwhile, the main 6.9-inch display offers HDR10+ support, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and brightness levels that peak at 3,000 nits.
The new Swarovski edition pushes the price up by $200, bringing the total to $999. It’s the highlight of the Brilliant Collection, created in partnership with Swarovski. Alongside the Moto Buds Loop, this special edition will be available unlocked starting August 7 through BestBuy.com, Amazon.com, and Motorola’s website. It will also be released on Cricket Wireless beginning August 15.
