The U.S. and Iran have reached a two-week ceasefire agreement just under two hours before President Donald Trump’s deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The negotiations took place during talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir.
After the announcement, thousands of Iranians took to the streets in celebration, praising their leadership and rallying in support. Many also set fire to U.S. and Israeli flags to mark the occasion.
