Iran officials have signaled heightened alert levels amid increasing U.S. military movements in the Middle East. A senior Iranian spokesperson warned that any form of attack—be it limited, surgical, or kinetic—would be regarded as an all-out war and responded to with the harshest measures possible. Iran’s military forces are on high alert, prepared for the worst-case scenario, expressing concern that the recent military buildup might lead to confrontation.
President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. navy has dispatched an “armada” toward Iran but hopes to avoid conflict. He reiterated warnings for Tehran against suppressing protests or restarting its nuclear activities. An Iranian official responded that Iran would react strongly to any violations of its sovereignty, though he did not specify the nature of their response. Given the persistent threats from the U.S., Iran emphasized its readiness to deploy all available resources to defend itself and maintain regional stability.
Historically, the U.S. has periodically increased military presence in the Middle East during periods of tension, usually in defensive operations. Last year, the U.S. enhanced its forces significantly ahead of strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities in June.
