Searches surged around fixtures like Pakistan versus South Africa, India, and New Zealand. The Pakistan Super League, their homegrown league, stayed the most popular tournament, alongside the Asia Cup and ICC Champions Trophy, underscoring Pakistan’s deep passion for cricket, especially local leagues.
Fans also followed emerging cricket stars such as Abhishek Sharma, Hassan Nawaz, and Irfan Khan Niazi, whose performances prompted widespread searches and discussions throughout 2025.
In addition to cricket, Pakistani viewers remained captivated by local dramas. Shows like “Sher,” “Judwaa,” and “Aas Paas” dominated search trends, revealing a strong love for engaging stories, compelling characters, and memorable scenes.

Real-time updates on crucial issues like the Karachi floods and flooding near the Chenab River spiked search activity, as people looked for the latest alerts, safety info, and ground reports. Users also searched for government initiatives including the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry, Asaan Karobar Card, and the Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme 2025. Educational queries about FBISE exam results, along with economic indicators like gold prices and international news from Iran, kept the public informed.
