Golden visa holders in the United Arab Emirates will now be able to access consular services that were previously only available to Emirati citizens, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The UAE government has announced a new initiative that extends various overseas support services to residents with a 10-year Golden Visa. These residents can now receive emergency help during crises abroad. A special helpline is set to launch soon, enabling them to directly contact the ministry for urgent assistance.
In cases of lost, stolen, or damaged passports while abroad, the ministry will issue special travel documents to help residents return safely to the UAE. The initiative also includes support for evacuation operations, repatriation, and funeral arrangements in the event of death overseas.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that this expansion underscores the UAE’s dedication to improving the welfare of its long-term residents.
