During the ongoing World Para Athletics Championship in New Delhi, India, stray dogs attacked two coaches from different teams, resulting in injuries. The incident happened on Friday morning during the warm-up session when Dennis Mwanzu, the fencing coach from Kenya, and Meiko Otomatsu, the assistant coach from Japan, were suddenly attacked by a pack of stray dogs. The Kenyan coach sustained a bleeding leg wound from the bites, and both coaches were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. As of now, officials have not issued statements about the incident or outlined specific steps to prevent future attacks. The championship is taking place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi from September 27 to October 5, featuring over 1,000 athletes competing in various events.
