The forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is set to feature a design that slightly diverges from the Galaxy Z Flip 6. The latest updates indicate enhancements to the outer display, eliminating the distinctive black folder frame that characterized its predecessor.
A report by Android Headlines reveals images of the Z Flip 7 that suggest an upgrade to the outer screen. While specific internal specifications remain unconfirmed, the outer display is expected to be larger than the previous model, enhancing usability for tasks such as streaming TikTok videos or communicating with friends, all without the need to flip the phone open frequently.
This announcement follows our initial preview of the Z Flip 7, where we highlighted that the outer screen will measure 3.6 inches. This size matches the outer display on the Motorola Razr Plus 2024, launched last summer, and is slightly larger than the Z Flip 6’s 3.4-inch screen due to the previous model’s unique black folder frame.
A larger outer display isn’t just about aesthetics; it also means that the screen will wrap around the rear cameras, similar to what has been seen on Motorola’s high-end flip phone. While the rear camera setup may retain the 50 MP primary sensor and 12 MP ultrawide lens from the Z Flip 6, the upgraded screen is likely to make the Z Flip 7 an appealing option for those considering an upgrade.
