Jeffrey Epstein built an extensive worldwide network comprising politicians, top business leaders, academics and celebrities, many of whom have been heavily tainted by their ties to the convicted sex offender. While prominent figures such as Britain’s former prince Andrew have faced widespread public disgrace, some influential yet less-known individuals have been dismissed, resigned, scrutinized or are under investigation.

The exposure of someone’s name in the Epstein files released by the U.S. Department of Justice does not automatically suggest any illegal activity on their part. Epstein was convicted in 2008 for soliciting a minor and died in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking minors.

Borge Brende, a member of the World Economic Forum’s board, which organizes the Davos summit, has called for an independent review of his interactions with Epstein. Brende, a former Norwegian foreign minister, admitted to attending dinners with Epstein in New York during 2018 and 2019, claiming he was “completely unaware” of Epstein’s criminal conduct.

Thorbjorn Jagland, ex-Prime Minister of Norway and former Secretary-General of the Council of Europe, is under police investigation for “suspicion of aggravated corruption,” stemming from numerous email exchanges linked to Epstein.

Mona Juul, a Norwegian diplomat involved in the secret Israeli-Palestinian Oslo negotiations, has been suspended pending an investigation into her alleged relations with Epstein. Epstein’s will allocated $10 million to Juul’s two children with her hubby, diplomat Terje Rød-Larsen. The Norwegian Foreign Ministry said Juul, who is currently serving as the Norwegian envoy to Jordan, is temporarily relieved of her duties until the probe concludes.

Dean Kamen, the innovative American engineer best known for inventing the Segway, has taken a leave from the robotics group he founded, FIRST. Newly released Epstein documents feature photos of Kamen with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence for trafficking underage girls to Epstein. The files also show an email where Kamen thanked Epstein for a 2013 visit to his private Caribbean island.

Brad Karp, a prominent American lawyer and former chairman of the law firm Paul Weiss, stepped down after 18 years in the role. In emails, Karp expressed gratitude to Epstein for hosting a 2015 dinner at his Manhattan mansion, describing it as “an evening I’ll never forget.” He stated he regrets socializing with Epstein and in an email even asked Epstein for help in securing a job for his son in a Woody Allen film.

Miroslav Lajcak, Slovakia’s national security adviser, resigned after messages in the Epstein files revealed discussions about women. Lajcak was serving as foreign minister at the time.

French film producer and ex-actor Caroline Lang, whose father was former French Culture Minister Jack Lang, stepped down as head of a film producers’ organization after her family’s Epstein links surfaced. Lang said that she and Epstein had discussed establishing a company to purchase art, though she did not invest. Her father, Jack Lang, stated he was introduced to Epstein by Woody Allen roughly 15 years ago and was unaware of Epstein’s criminal activities.

Former U.S. Senator George Mitchell, age 92, who was instrumental in brokering the 1998 peace agreement ending Northern Ireland’s conflict, had his name removed from Queen’s University Belfast’s Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice due to his Epstein connections. Mitchell apologized for having met Epstein but insisted he had no knowledge of any illegal behavior.

Producer Steve Tisch, who co-owns the New York Giants and produced “Forrest Gump,” was linked to multiple women through Epstein’s email exchanges. Tisch admitted to a brief association with Epstein involving emails about adult women, plus discussions on movies, philanthropy, and investments. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell indicated that the league would review all the facts before deciding on any disciplinary action.

Casey Wasserman, head of the Los Angeles Organizing Committee for the 2028 Olympics, faced calls to resign after flirtatious emails with Maxwell from 2003 came to light. Wasserman expressed regret over the exchanges, which occurred before Epstein’s criminal activities became publicly known.

These revelations continue to ripple through the reputation of influential individuals, many of whom now grapple with questions about their past associations and the potential implications of their ties to Epstein.
