Dubai: Dubai Police have confiscated several motorcycles after reports of young riders performing dangerous stunts and causing disturbances in residential areas during Ramadan, shortly after iftar.
Authorities stated residents complained about loud noises, reckless riding, and youths using motorbikes and quad bikes to perform risky maneuvers on public roads.
The police called in the minors’ parents and took legal action, emphasizing that such behavior endangers not only the riders but also other motorists and pedestrians.
“Reckless driving and stunt performances threaten lives and disrupt community safety,” Dubai Police said, encouraging the public to report similar violations via the 901 helpline or through the Dubai Police mobile app.
A video posted by Dubai Police on social media displayed some of the seized bikes and featured officers addressing the issue as part of ongoing efforts to promote road safety during the holy month.
