In the captivating official trailer for Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, Jeremy Allen White channels Bruce Springsteen, strumming his guitar with undeniable passion.
As the 1980s approached, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band were on fire, riding high on a wave of hits from albums like Born to Run, Darkness on the Edge of Town, and The River. On the brink of becoming a cultural icon, Springsteen faced personal demons and the immense weight of fame. Set in the early ’80s, Deliver Me from Nowhere explores the creation of Nebraska, an album that many fans regard as his defining work.
Notably, Springsteen recorded Nebraska using a four-track tape recorder in his bedroom in New Jersey. The outcome was a haunting, deeply emotional collection of songs that reflect “lost souls seeking hope.”
“I don’t need to be perfect,” a young Springsteen (White) says in the trailer as he tunes his guitar. “I want it to feel like I’m alone in the room.”
Joining White in the film are Jeremy Strong as Jon Landau, Springsteen’s long-time manager; Paul Walter Hauser as Mike Batlan, the guitar tech; Stephen Graham as Doug, Springsteen’s father; Odessa Young as Faye, his love interest; Gaby Hoffman as Adele, his mother; Marc Maron as Chuck Plotkin, the producer; and David Krumholtz as Al Teller, a Columbia Records executive.
“This project revolves around Bruce Springsteen,” Landau tells Teller. “These are the songs he’s focused on right now.”

Directed and written by Scott Cooper, Deliver Me from Nowhere draws inspiration from Warren Zanes’ 2023 book of the same name. Cooper teams up with producers Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Eric Robinson, and Scott Stuber, while executive producers include Zanes, Tracey Landon, and Jon Vein.
Both Springsteen and Landau contributed to the film, with Springsteen making several visits to the set and commending White for his portrayal.
“Jeremy is such a fantastic actor, you just get absorbed in it,” Springsteen shared in a SiriusXM interview. “He captures an interpretation of me that I believe fans will instantly recognize. He has done an exceptional job, and I’ve enjoyed being on set whenever I can.”
White, who has won two Emmy Awards for his performance in The Bear, is a strong contender for the Best Actor award at the 2026 Oscars. Biopics about musicians often lead to accolades for actors, as seen last year when Timothée Chalamet earned a nomination for portraying Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, and Rami Malek took home the Best Actor Oscar for his role as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody.
Strong is likely to compete for Best Supporting Actor, having received a nomination for his role in The Apprentice at the 2025 Oscars.
Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere is set to hit theaters on October 24.
