In a creative response to what he describes as “brainrot content” dominating children’s media, Fahad Khan has produced Pakistan’s first claymation animation series entirely in Urdu. Titled Lili Aur Jungle Ki Sulah (“Lili and the Jungle’s Resolution”), the debut episode focuses on anger management and conflict resolution—themes Khan believes are critically absent in mainstream children’s programming.
Unlike previous acclaimed local animated projects like Burka Avenger or Dost, which were developed by teams, Khan single-handedly handled all aspects of production. This included sculpting clay characters, scriptwriting, voice acting, animation, and editing—a painstaking process that required months of dedicated effort.
In a statement to media, Khan explained his motivation: “I wanted to create meaningful, educational content in Urdu that not only entertains but also teaches emotional intelligence.”
The project has already garnered attention on LinkedIn and YouTube, where the first episode is now available.
Khan’s initiative highlights a growing demand for culturally and linguistically relevant children’s media in Pakistan. By choosing claymation—a rare and labor-intensive animation technique in the region—he aims to offer a visually distinctive and emotionally resonant alternative to digitally produced cartoons.
His channel’s name is Lili’s Universe.
Educators and parents have welcomed the project, noting its potential to support social-emotional learning while promoting the Urdu language among younger generations.
